Whether you’re a beginner artist or have never picked up a paintbrush, this class is for you. No drawing or art experience is necessary, and we encourage you to unleash your creativity in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Students will work on beginner methods of drawing with oil pastels, including layering, blending, directional line work, and more. Step-by-step instructions and stencils will assist with basic drawing capabilities, and the final product will be a still-life of fruit. Students will be encouraged to check out the exhibition Honoring Joan Mitchell, which features works of gestural abstraction in both paint and oil pastel.

Studio Practice is a monthly series of hands-on, practical art classes where students of all levels learn to create in varying media with the instruction of a local artist. Open to adults and teens in the company of an adult.

Her passion for growth led her to become a Marketing and brand Manager at a Jacksonville, FL, seasonal décor import company in the grocery market industry. Utilizing her design skills, Kasha has developed the logo and is an active board member of Rachel Quiñones Memorial 5K. In addition, she has created several logos and brand standards for various companies within the local community. Her Fine Art and Graphic Design capabilities and her empathetic leadership have allowed her to flourish across multiple channels. On weekends, Kasha teaches beginner art courses in various art mediums in the St. Johns Public Library System, where she was featured in the Ponte Vedra Recorder. She enjoys traveling to small towns, exploring art museums, being in the company of her cat Mochi, and drinking a cup of tea.

The Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville (MOCA) is the only museum in Northeast Florida dedicated to contemporary art. MOCA JACKSONVILLE PROGRAM CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

At MOCA Jacksonville, we understand that plans can change. We strive to accommodate the needs of our guests while ensuring that our events and programs continue to run smoothly for everyone involved.

Cancellation by the Guest:

• More than 2 days before the program: Full refund available minus Eventbrite ticketing fee.

• 1-2 days before the program: Refund requests must be sent to museum contact.

• Less than 24 hours before the program: Refunds are not available.

Rescheduling:

• Guests may request to be rescheduled to a later program, subject to availability, with no penalty if done more than 2 days in advance of their program.

Cancellation by MOCA Jacksonville:

• MOCA Jacksonville reserves the right to cancel any event due to unforeseen circumstances or events beyond our control. In such cases, a full refund or rescheduling option will be offered.

Notification:

• All cancellations or rescheduling requests must be made in writing to our Education Department at mocaeducation@unf.edu. Please include your event details and contact information for prompt processing.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with our cancellation policy. Our goal is to provide a seamless experience for all our guests and patrons.

Ticket Allocation:

• Individual Members: Individual members are entitled to reserve or purchase one (1) member ticket for each event or program in which a member level ticket is offered.

• Dual Members and above: Dual level memberships and above are entitled to reserve or purchase two (2) member tickets per event for each event or program in which a member level ticket is offered.

• Avant Garde Circle Members and above: Members at this level and above are entitled two (2) free tickets to one program of their choice per year. Contact Development at mocadevelopment@unf.edu to reserve.

Membership Level Association

• Your membership level is directly associated with your ticket privileges. We encourage you to explore the various levels of membership to find the one that best suits your cultural interests and event attendance desires.

• Donor Circle Members may request additional event and program tickets by contacting the Development Department at mocadevelopment@unf.edu.

• Your membership number may be required to complete certain reservations. This can be found printed on your membership card. Please contact mocamembership@unf.edu if you need assistance locating your membership number.

Ticket Transfer:

• · What is the difference between a VIP Experience Package and Preferred Seating? While both options are great, the VIP Experience includes enhancements above and beyond the Preferred Seating Experience. Check out the information above on the two experience options to choose the one that fits your style best!

• What is the refund policy? ALL SALES ARE FINAL, there are no refunds or exchanges permitted. The festival is a rain or shine event. In the event the entire event is canceled, refund information will be sent to attendees. All festival performers are subject to change or cancellation at any time without warning. If changes or cancellations occur with performers, refunds will not be issued.

• Why can’t I ship multiple Premium Experience packages to multiple addresses? For security purposes, we have transitioned to shipping all tickets to one address submitted during your purchase. This will prevent orders from being separated in the mail and arriving at different times. If you would like to ship to multiple addresses, please order tickets separately.

• I thought the festival was free? It is and no ticket or purchase is required! These options are available for those who want a bit of an upgrade.

• Are children free? Premium Experience areas are open to all ages, but everyone of all ages MUST HAVE a pre-purchased wristband to enter. There are no discounts for minors.

• Can I change which day I purchased my single-day pass for? Unfortunately, we will not be able to change or transfer your purchase to a different day.

• I can no longer attend the Jacksonville Jazz Festival, how do I resale or transfer my premium experience packages? The City of Jacksonville does not facilitate the reselling of any Premium Experience packages for the Jacksonville Jazz Festival. Once tickets are purchased, it is the responsibility of the seller and the buyer to facilitate the transfer of Premium Experience packages.

• I only purchased a Premium Experience Package to see a specific performer. Can I have a refund if they cancel? All festival performers are subject to change or cancelation at any time without notice. No refund will be issued if a festival performer is changed or canceled.
