Blazin’ Weeklies #2 (Feat. Smash 4) at Buffalo Wild Wings!

The “Blazin’ Weeklies” are a joint-venture weekly gaming tournament series, hosted and live-streamed by G-Force Gaming at the Buffalo Wild Wings of Gainesville in Oaks Mall!

Each week on Wednesdays at 7:00pm, G-Force and Buffalo Wild Wings will provide a Super Smash Bros. Tournament event.

This week will feature Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (Smash 4)!

Location:

The Oaks Mall,
6401 W Newberry Rd, Gainesville, FL 32605

Time:

6:00pm: Setup
7:00pm: Tournament begins

*When you arrive, locate the Tournament Organizer to confirm your registration, and to gain more information regarding tournament rules & scheduling.

*Please bring setups (Game systems, TVs and controllers) if applicable. Each Tournament requires a minimum of 5 gaming setups in order to begin.

*All tournament matches are best 2/3 until the final 4 players remain. Then all of the final matches are best 3/5. For further instructions/insight, please reference your Tournament Organizer on site.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U Rulesets

[Ruleset Subject to Change]

General Rules:

2 stock, 6 Minutes, Items set to off

Custom Fighters is set to OFF. (No custom moves)
Mii Fighters are legal. Any preset moveset for Miis will be allowed as long as the mii is medium weight and medium height.

-No Amiibos
-No excessive stalling
-Best of 3 sets for all matches except for top 4. Top 4 will be best of 5 for both singles and top 3 for doubles.

Suicide moves:
-If a match ends with a player using Ganon’s Flame Choke the win will go to the initiator of the move.
-Using suicide moves as Bowser, Kirby, Wario, or King Dedede will not result in the initiator winning. If it occurs, the results on screen will stand.

Controllers:
Allowed controllers: Gamecube Controller, Wii U Pro Controller, Wiimote, 3DS (Wii U Gamepad is not allowed)
-if you fail to desync your controller and this causes large amounts of time to be wasted, you will be DQ’d. This ruling is at the discretion of the TO,

Stage Selection:
-You cannot counter pick to any stage you have already won on.
-A Gentleman’s Clause will be used in this tournament. That means any stage may be played on if both players agree to it.

First stage is decided by banning from the stage list in P1-P2-P2-P1 order.

Following stages decided by the winner banning 1 stages and then loser choosing.

Super Smash Bros. Melee Rulesets

General Rules
– Items off, 8 Minutes, 4 Stocks
– No excessive stalling (Rising Pound, Luigi ladder, etc.)
– Wobbling is legal, stalling past 300% is illegal
– Double Blind and Neutral Start is offered at request
– You cannot counter pick to any stage you have already won on
– Gentleman’s Clause: Any stage may be played on if both players agree to it
– If a match times out, the winner is determined by remaining stocks, then lowest percentage on the same stock
– Pausing Results in a stock loss, at the discretion of the opponent
– Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.

Player’s will play rock, paper, scissors.
The winner is “Player 1” — The loser is Player 2.

-The first stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in the following order:
Player 1 chooses a stage the ban
Player 2 chooses the next 2 stages to ban
Player 1 chooses the the final stage to ban
*The final stage is then chosen.

After the first match is completed, the winner of the original game of “Rock, Paper, Scissors” becomes “Player 2” and the Loser, “Player 1”

*repeat*
Player 1 chooses a stage the ban
Player 2 chooses the next 2 stages to ban
Player 1 chooses the the final stage to ban
*The final stage is then chosen.

– Tournamnet sets that are best 3/5 will have no bans.
